President and Owner, founded Bat-Caddy in 2004 and is responsible for General Management working out of Jacksonville, FL. Previously he held positions as Executive Vice President for the $700 Mio Surface Technology division of the Swiss Sulzer Corp and in various Management positions for US Fortune 500 company Corning, Inc.
During his tenure with multi-national corporations Peter gained experience in a number of industries, such as aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, environmental technologies, information technology, life sciences, power generation, surface engineering, telecommunications, industrial capital equipment and consumer and golf sporting goods, mainly in Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Corporate Planning, Consulting and Business Management functions. During his career and education he has worked and lived in multiple countries on four continents and traveled extensively throughout the world.
Peter is also the former President of TSS, an affiliate society of ASM International, the Materials Information Society, as well as the General Chairman of various international scientific conferences. He holds a graduate degree in Economics and Business Administration from the European Business School University for Economics & Law (ebs) in Wiesbaden, Germany and attended the MBA program of the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, AZ.
His passion for the game of golf, his entrepreneurial spirit and his strong dedication to and experience in excellence in business management, innovation, engineering, quality, and customer satisfaction has led him to realize his vision for Bat-Caddy ("Battery-Caddy"). David R. Dickes
Managing Director joined Bat-Caddy in 2013 and manages all aspects of West Coast Sales, Service and Logistics out of our latest facility in Novato, CA just North of San Francisco. Dave's previous career in consumer product sales and retail management has given him the insight to understand the needs of accounts in a highly competitive business environment. During his career Dave has gained experience in a number of industries, such as consumer goods, consumer electronics, industrial chemicals, management consulting and fine art publishing.
His father gave Dave the golf bug at the age of 12 along with his first set of clubs. While in the Air Force his passion for golf was well known and led to Dave being selected to recruit and head the marshals for a private golf tournament in Las Vegas for two years – the tournament covered three golf courses. It also led to playing a round of golf with the president of one of the largest corporations in the world as a part of a two day business meeting.
Dave's undergrad degree is in Marketing from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. While in the Air Force he worked on his MBA at UNLV, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Peter M. Old
Managing Director, oversees all aspects of Bat-Caddy’s Sales, Service & Logistics Center Southeast located in Jacksonville, FL since 2010. Peter's previous career was in the Building & Construction industry, in both commercial and residential fields. A former Vice President with Taylor Woodrow, a multi-national industry leader, for over 20 years, Peter worked on a wide range of projects including hospitals, TV studios, shopping centers, factories and a number of large housing developments. In the early 1990's Peter formed his own residential building company in Florida. His career gained him extensive experience in complex project management, General Management & leadership, on-time delivery, quality control, customer service and complex logistical issues which he is now contributing to Bat-Caddy.
Peter was born in Shrewsbury, England and moved to the US in the mid 80s. He graduated from Warwick School and Sheffield Hallam University and subsequently gained full membership of The Chartered Institute of Building. Peter has two sons and enjoys most sports, especially cricket, tennis and, of course, golf. As an avid walking golfer with a single digit handicap he puts the Bat-Caddy carts to test on a weekly basis. His love for the game created the perfect platform for Peter to make the move into the golf industry by joining Bat-Caddy and supporting its remarkable growth story.
Managing Director, Bat-Caddy's Northeast Service & Logistics Center in Bethlehem, PA since August 2015
John has 42 years experience that includes 28 years management, production, sales and customer service with a major book manufacturing and distribution company (Haddon Craftsmen/RR Donnelley & Sons), four years consulting with small- and mid-sized businesses and 10 years general management of a private country club. John started his career at Haddon Craftsmen in computer operations and was continually promoted, eventually becoming Vice President of Production at the Allentown division. He managed several departments with over 100 employees who produced and distributed trade, text and reference books for the major publishers located around the country. After leaving Haddon Craftsmen, John was a consultant to small- to medium-sized businesses and helped them gain better control over their operation by using a fully-integrated business management system designed for distributors and suppliers. His passion for the game of golf led John to become the General Manager of a private country club with one of the premier golf coursers and facilities in the area. In that role, he managed and was responsible for all aspects of the club including the golf course, golf shop, food and beverage, social calendar, golf outings, banquets, purchasing, maintenance, and human resources. His business experiences have resulted in a diverse and unique blend of management, people, sales and customer service skills.
John was born in and resides in Palmerton, PA. He attended the University of Delaware majoring in Computer Science. He has been active in coaching youth sports, the local US Naval Academy Parents’ Club, the Jaycees, the Club Managers of America Association, the National Golf Course Owners Association, the United States Golf Association and more. He and his wife Linda are both avid golfers and have two children, five grand children and two dogs. John is excited to become a member of the Bat-Caddy team.
Director Sales and Service Mountain States located near Denver, CO joined the Bat-Caddy team in 2010. Prior Hunter was a territory sales manager for several top brand golf companies, carrying a wide variety of golf products.
While traveling the Western United States, Hunter developed an in depth understanding of the US golf wholesale world, and how to best service retail, online and green grass accounts. During this time Hunter saw an increasing demand for electric golf caddies, a product that is growing increasingly popular amongst the walking golf population. He was involved and observed several suppliers over the years and was lead to Bat-Caddy based on the market need for best quality, best service at a reasonable and competitive price point.
Hunter has been involved in the game of golf since his early childhood, surrounded by family that worked in various ends of the industry, from PGA teaching Pros to the Salesman of the year. After earning a BS in Marketing from the University of Colorado, he seized the opportunity to become involved in the business himself. All of this experience in and around the golf business makes him an excellent addition to the Bat-Caddy team.
Director Business Administration joined Bat-Caddy in 2010 and manages the company’s administrative issues, such as order processing, invoicing, accounting and logistics coordination, and also is involved in Sales, Marketing and Customer Service aspects of the business. She is located in St. Augustine, FL.
With over 27 years in sales and marketing functions in various industries, including the start-up of two corporations, Kathy has brought relative and sought after aspects to Bat-Caddy. She has considerable experience in sales and marketing management, SEM/SEO marketing as well as advertising, such as print/radio and TV. She also has extensive experience in customer service, as well as in IT and various computer software applications such as QuickBooks. In addition, her background includes 13 years of working with the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Working with and managing the communications committee for the Induction ceremonies and festivities surrounding it, including holding the position of Chairperson for a number of years. Her volunteer background includes working with TPC Sawgrass, along with Special Olympics and many other civic organizations, including holding the position of President for several of these.
Her sales and management background is a strong asset to Bat-Caddy as her diversity to her position enables her to be a strong link between the customer and the corporation.
Executive Advisor & Director Special Projects; After having been essential in Bat-Caddy's growth story since the early days in 2007 Ron semi-retired from his position as Managing Director Service & Logistics Center Northeast in July 2015. In his new role he will lead special strategic projects related to continuous improvement of Bat-Caddy's product portfolio, customer service excellence and strategic market positioning. He is located in our Bethlehem, PA facility.
Ron has had a successful 30+ year career in manufacturing & operations management. He started his career as a floor supervisor with Burron Medical, a small local manufacturing company of medical devices, culminating as Vice President Manufacturing of a $200 Mio division of the multi-national B. Braun Medical company. During his tenure he became part of a Management Team that grew a $3 Mio family owned business into a $200 Mio multi-national division. He was involved in all aspects of overseeing a rapidly expanding manufacturing facility, including plastic injection molding, assembly & packaging lines, industrial engineering, plant engineering & layout, quality control, budgeting, as well as human resources and management development.
After retiring from B. Braun, he joined BatCaddy in 2007. In his professional life, he most enjoyed working for a small organization where you can make a real difference. Bat-Caddy has been a perfect fit for his experience and professional skill set, as well as his ambition to get involved with golf, a sport he truly loves.
Ron graduated from Moravian College in 1972, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business-Economics. He is devoted to his family and community. He and his wife Marie have resided in Bethlehem, PA all of their life and are very active within the community. Most importantly, their 3 children and 9 grandchildren also reside locally and are the focal point of their personal lives.
General Manager Bat-Caddy Canada, which was created in 2010 to service our growing Canadian customer base. Working out of our showroom and logistics centre in Oakville, Ontario Mark is responsible for all aspects of the Canadian operation.
Mark has a multifaceted background in sales, distribution and management consulting which has led to work on many projects including involvement with large Merger and Acquisition initiatives, leading enterprise business units and participation on corporate boards.
Mark is a past board member of the Interac Association and is currently a member of the Board for Accreon.
