Hey this is a fun one! With the popularity of golf on the rise, there has been an increase in the number of people playing and walking the course, this has increased the use of electric golf caddys like Batcaddy! Our carts, caddys, electric push carts are becoming more and more common on golf courses in the United States, but they are also referred to by a variety of other names, in this week's post we dive into the names that have evolved around the world to describe this cool piece of golf equipment.
No single name has emerged as the clear winner. So, for now at least, it seems that golfers will just have to continue to trial and error until they find the perfect name for their new favorite piece of equipment. So, what is the best name for your Caddy? Overseas they are called trolleys or electric trolleys, here in the America, motorized carts, motorized caddies, motorized push carts, electric push carts, remote control push carts, remote control electric push carts and remote-control caddies and there are many more. Each name reflects a different aspect of the product, but all agree that these carts are a valuable addition to any golfer's arsenal. Electric push carts or caddies provide a convenient way to transport golf clubs and other gear around the course, and they can be controlled remotely, making them easy to maneuver. They also provide you with a great way to get exercise around the golf course and allow you to focus on your game and improve your score! I took it one step further; I have a name tag for my Caddie. I went old school Romeo, (Tim Cup fame)
Everyone I play with at Banbury Golf Club in Eagle Idaho knows my Caddie by name.
I bought my Bat-Caddy X8R then a few weeks later my golf buddy bought one just like mine. Since I bought mine first I named it BC1 and he named his BC2. Love my cart.
My electic caddy is called “Trigger” after Roy Rodgers horse that would come on a whistle
People heads turn when I do that
My grandchildren named mine – R2Tee2
My husband and I both have batcaddys which we refer as our Bat Mobiles
