The Story of BATCADDY: A Three Part Series - Part Two

The story of BATCADDY began with a dream and the belief that "The greatest risk in life is not taking one." From the days of a one man show to where BATCADDY is today, passion, perseverance, determination, and great product played a significant role in its success.

While not discounting those attributes, there is another factor that has stood the test of time: That being the principles for which BATCADDY was built upon, in other words, its foundation. In Part 2, Peter share's those principles and the impact they've had on the brand, product, and the culture. With that said, let's begin.

Part 2: The Foundation

What are the brand principles of BATCADDY?
Our brand principles can be expressed in 5 dimensions:
Trustworthy: Bat-Caddy carts are designed to last. We stand by our products and constantly strive to improve the experience
Accessible: We provide a wide range of options in our model line up for every budget and course situation. We are committed to provide quality at a value price point
Authentic: We have been manufacturing unique quality products since 2004 and were copied many times.
Helpful: We are focused and are proud of our Customer Service which will give our customers a pleasant and reliable experience, even long after the warranty has expired.
Fun: Golf is fun, and we believe that walking the course with an electric caddy gives you the real experience to enjoy the game as it was meant to be played. Walk like a Pro!

How have those Principles impacted the company?
These principles are the foundation of every decision that our Management Team makes, and they are the beacon that guides and distinguishes us from the pack. We are in for the long run and prefer customer satisfaction over short term profits. We have not significantly increased prices in years despite ever growing costs and geopolitical crisis, and we have invested heavily in our Customer Support capabilities and state-of-the-art IT infrastructure.

Can you share some insights into the culture at BATCADDY?
Our culture is heavily influenced by my own values of doing business: Open communication, 360 Accessibility, Flexible Work Environment, Individual Entrepreneurship, High ethical Standards and of course the "Golden Rule", i.e., treat others as you wish to be treated, both externally and internally.

How would you describe your team?
Our Management Team, as well as the rest of the organization, likes and subscribes to our culture and principles. I would like to think that they are dedicated and loyal to the company, as many years of our consistent staffing shows. Most of our team members are avid golfers and share my vision of the benefits of walking golf. I personally love working with all of them and try to be as generous as possible in sharing our successes. I think it shows.

Your brand slogan, "THE ELECTRIC GOLF CADDY THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE." What do you mean by that?
Bat-Caddy aims to make the electric golf caddy experience accessible to a wide range of golfers at every age, every budget, and every course situation. We offer high quality carts at value price points starting at $450 ranging up to the high $1,000 range. Our flexible battery options enable customers to switch between standard lead acid and multiple lithium options depending on their budget, playing frequency and course condition. We provide options and don't force customers into a "one size fits all" solution, which it never does. Often less is more for the golfer who does not want to deal with electronic gadgets while trying to focus on the game. Quality, compactness, ease of use and value rank high on our list of priorities.

Is there anything you would like to add?
When I started the company in 2004 my overall vision of Bat-Caddy was based on the objective to enable golfers of all ages and walks of life to experience the true way of playing golf like a Professional. Walking while a caddy carries your bag. Besides that, I saw multiple "Bonus" benefits which led me to believe that this product would ultimately be successful:
- Staying fit, improving overall health & losing weight
- Preventing strain on your back, arms & shoulders to improve your swing and rhythm
- Protecting the environment, the course and speed up the game
- Staying connected with the course
- Preserving the tradition of walking the course while enhancing social interaction
- Improving your handicap
- Saving money by eliminating rental cart fees
- Maintaining social distancing and obeying health safety measures

It looks like we have come to the point where more and more golfers are recognizing these benefits and are ready to join our Club. "Walk like a Pro"

That wraps up part 2. Stay tuned for Part 3 – A look Into The Future.

I have had my Bat Caddy going on 2 years and love it. I have played over 200 rounds with it so far, and have not had any issues. Keep Up the Good Work.
